How can I make an external keyboard work on Toshiba Satellite?
I have a keyboard – fully functional – remnants of a Dell desktop had a few years ago. I want to connect to my Toshiba Satellite and type away. The keyboard has a PS / 2 plug, of course, so I bought an adapter USB. My laptop (XP with SP2) can not recognize it. It is called an unknown device and says that I do not have drivers for it. I tried to upgrade my controller keyboard, to no avail. What can I do for work?
Download general controller keyboard, and make sure the driver is trying to match the type installed keyboard you are using. If all else fails get another keyboard.
